Duration: 5 minutes
Stop At: Willamette Valley, Portland, OR
Departing from downtown Portland, we’ll make our way along the Vineyard and Valley Scenic Route, past orchards, lavender fields, and farms, to the famous Willamette Valley. As Oregon’s leading wine region, the valley is home to more than 500 wineries. Recognized as of one of the premier Pinot Noir producing areas of the world, the wine from this area is often likened to France’s Burgundy region. Throughout the drive, your guide will share the history of Oregon wine production, how our valley was formed, and what makes its soil so idyllic for our world-famous wine grapes. We’ll also discuss the 6 different sub-appellations of the valley.
In the heart of the Willamette Valley, we will visit three carefully selected wineries and vineyards, where we will partake in winery tours, viticulture talks, and wine tastings. Surrounded by the science, production, and study of grapes, our guests feel like experts in no time! From the wineries selected we’ll enjoy sweeping views of the Cascade Mountain Range as well as stunning, rolling hill vineyard vistas.
We will pick up our picnic-style lunch from a local, gourmet delicatessen in Portland before heading to the Willamette Valley. We will plan to bring our lunches out at the second winery to enjoy with our tastings. The wine tasting fees at each winery are included in the price of the tour. You will have a chance to purchase wine at the wineries. Most wineries offer convenient shipping options straight to your home.

Visiting on a biz trip and had an extra day, so decided on this day trip. Great group of people, great tour guide (Will) and wine hosts. Good wines and beautiful vineyards. Right amount of time and everything flowed perfectly. I learned a good bit about winery. Well worth it and highly recommend!
His knowledge...his humor.. his love ofwine....made such a wonderful experience for all. Three cheers for Aaron.
This was hands down my favorite thing to do while visiting Portland. Hathum (not sure about spelling) was our tour guide. He couldn't have been more personable and talkative. Hathum kept us laughing and enjoying the entire experience. Never a dull moment! He knew SO much about the Portland area and wine valley. The wineries were all amazing! The tastings were definitely enough to get us feeling good. By the end of the tour, I was convinced to come back and visit Portland again.
Great tour. Our guide was amazing, the wineries were beautiful, and we had just enough time to not be rushed and experience everything.
Our Wine tour of the Willamette Valley was amazing! Nancy was the best tour guide and went out of her way to make us all happy and really enjoy Oregon and what the state has to offer. I would highly recommend her for your next adventure!
Great trip! Our tour guide was amazing and really just let us let loose and hang out and was really accommodating. We all had a blast!
Our guide, Bryan, picked excellent wineries and the restaurant for lunch. With only five people in our group, it was a great day.
Great time, great tour guides! Would highly recommend this experience to both experienced and novice wine enthusiasts.
