While we enjoyed the tour, ours guide had a very monotonous tone. Also conducting the tour in two languages; English and Spanish is not ideal. As when he would be speaking in English the Spanish people would be talking to each other loudly making it difficult to understand what he was saying. I wish I would have remembered his name.
What a wonderful tour. Our guide, The Real G, was fantastic. Extremely knowledgeable, very friendly, and made us feel like family. What an amazing way to learn the history of Porto!!! Thank you.
Atrocious customer service for Duoro River portion of tours with DuoroAcima tours. The afternoon before we took the city tour and then we specifically asked the actual river tour staff about the morning tours and if we had to reserve a time. We were told they could NOT reserve but that the boats ran every half hour. In the morning when we arrived they said they had no space until 2pm and asked why we had not reserved. We took the 2pm tour that was completely filled by a tour group who got off on the other side of the river. Instead of being brought back across the river to the starting point of the tour we were told the boat was broken and we had to make our own way back. We did and went back to the river tour staff who told us that they don’t guarantee bringing you back and that they could do nothing for us.
Excellent service from our tour guide Daniel. He was waiting for us at the hotel at the time agreed. Very comfortable and clean mini coach with air-con. Daniel explained everything to us in detail as we went along and nothing was too much trouble. All questions were answered thoroughly at each of the main attractions and stop off points. We had several walk abouts and towards the end went to the highest point at the church and monastry for some fabulous views of the city and river douro. Tour of Port Wine cave was really good. That ended the tour for that day and the timing was just right for us. The following morning we did the 6 bridges river cruise that lasted about 1 hour and was very relaxing. Overall we were very glad we booked this tour and also most grateful to Daniel for his excellent attention and service
This was a really nice afternoon - learned a bit about the history of each of the bridges, and it was a beautiful day. The wine tasting was excellent - went to the Cockburn Port Cellar - It was a VERY well executed tour, and the tour guides definitely knew everything about the port and shared a wealth of information about their production processes. It ended with a nice wine tasting and shopping. Cindy, Calgary Canada
What an experience! Our tour guide Christian was amazing. Besides speaking multiple languages, he was extremely knowledgeable and mindful of our individual needs. In addition to the bus and walking tour of Porto, we were treated to a wine tasting. Our tour guide there was also very knowledgeable. We loved Porto and would definitely recommend Viator.
