Your tour kicks off at 8:30am, when you’ll be collected from your Porto hotel.
During the drive, learn about the rich culture, heritage and monuments of the region that you are about to discover.
Your journey to Santiago de Compostela goes along the North-coast of Portugal through the countryside to Valença do Minho, a historical village in the north of Portugal known for the fortress, you will have time for a walk and a coffee inside of the fortress.
After the coffeebreak you will follow your way and cross the border to northwest Spain.
You arrive in Santiago de Compostela, just in time to lunch. Enjoy the free time for lunch and make sure you take a walk around the local shops to appreciate the handcrafts.
The foundation of the city is linked to the supposed discovery of the remains of the apostle Santiago Zebedee, which occurred in 812 or 813. After that, it began a pilgrimage that led to the world-famous “Caminho de Santiago” (St. James Way). In this magnificent visit to Santiago de Compostela, you will have time to visit the gorgeous 11th century cathedral, dedicated to the Apostle. Originally built in a Romanesque style, today, the Cathedral is a set of harmonious influences.
After visiting Santiago, you will drive back to your Porto Hotel.
