1 day
About this activity
Our english speaking driver will pick up you at your hotel and take you to the second largest city in the Czech Republic, to Brno. There you will meet your local guide who will show you the most important sights of the city.
Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul was built during the 14th and 15th centuries. It is a national cultural monument and one of the most important pieces of architecture in South Moravia. The impressive towers are 84 metres high and the noon ringing at 11 o´clock instead of 12 is part of the legend of the Swedish siege during the Thirty Years War.
Brno Ossuary is partially under the Church of St. James and its been opened to public since 2012. It is estimated that the ossuary holds the remains of over 50 thousand people, which makes it the second-largest ossuary in Europe after the Catacombs of Paris.
Except these two most important and interesting sights in Brno you will have opportunity to climb up the 63 metres high tower at the Old Town Hall to enjoy an impressive view of Brno from the top. You will enjoy high quality gastronomy experience, 3-course lunch in famous restaurant with wine degustation. And you will also visit the garden of Villa Tugendhat, a monument of modern architecture, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
City of Brno spends a lot of money every year on culture. In Brno are many museums, theatres and other cultural institutions. Brno is also a vibrant university city with about 90 000 students, and a number of festivals and other cultural events.
You will definitely have to see this city and go through it. When you once visit this pearl of Moravia, you will want to come back again.
