About this activity
Start your half-day WWII Prague walking tour at 1:30 pm, when you meet up with a knowledgable local guide in front of a local bridge in Prague. Dive into the captivating history of the 1930s and World War II and hear how Hitler convinced Czechoslovak allies to betray them in Munich.
With the guide’s interesting and insightful information at hand, travel step-by-step through the most important events of World War II in Prague. Relive the assassination of ‘The Butcher of Prague’, Reinhard Heydrich, by Czech Resistance and visit the place where Czechs were hidden and where they fought their last battle, now used as a museum.
Continue wandering through the historic city and see the former Gestapo and SS headquarters, as well as the square Germans used to parade their troops. Visit the Old Town Square and hear stories of Czechs who defended Prague against German troops during the Prague uprising. Don’t miss the authentic photographs taking during and immediately after the uprising. After learning how the bombing of Prague and World War II in general affects local Czechoslovakians to this day, end the tour at the striking Čechúv bridge. Located on the banks of the river, it’s a picturesque ending to an informative tour.

Excellent tour - well and truly exceeded my expectations. The tour was filled with interesting history and tailored to my area of interest - finance and economics. The tour was framed around one specific event with several sites visited. My guide Jack had great English and is a natural story teller.
Michael was excellent, the vastness of his knowledge was amazing. It was just four of us so we got a lot of personal attention and all questions answered. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone interested to World War II and Prague
Michal led a wonderful tour that covered much of the WWII history in Praha- my husband studies WWII history and Michal answered all of his questions and taught us so much unique history! We are very glad we did the tour. We would not have found many of the historical landmarks without him. He also used great pics to illustrate how things have changed since WWII. 100 recommend this tour if you're interested in history and stories about czech heroes.
Excellent tour with our guide, Honza who was extremely knowledgeable and pleasant throughout the tour. This tour encorporated Operation Anthropoid which I knew little about and found fascinating. I would recommend this tour!!!!
Very interesting tour and our guide was very knowledgeable and pleasant. He made it very enjoyable.
Michael was very knowledgeable about Prauges history throughout WWII.
Our guide, Michal, was exceptional. He was flexible in rescheduling our tour after our flight was cancelled, and tailored the tour to meet the interests of both my WWII buff husband and our 10 year old. Very informative tour that really brought history to life!
Hunza was amazing..........so great with information especially the attempted assignation of Reinhard Heydrich.........He showed us St. Cyril and Methodius church where the men held up for three weeks. A good movie to watch before you go on this tour is Anthropoid. Great tour!!!
