Kutná Hora is a city situated in the Central Bohemian Region, about 80 kilometres from Prague and was the center of the silver mining industry in the middle ages. You will admire all most interesting sights of this town and you will go through an unique experience.
Saint Barbara´s church is a Roman Catholic church in the style of Cathedral. It is one of the most famous Gothic churches in central Europe and it is a UNESCO world heritage site. St. Barbara is the patron saint of miners, which was highly appropriate for a town whose wealth was based entirely upon its silver mines. Internal points of note are the glass windows, altars, pulpits and choir stalls. Medieval frescoes depicting the secular life of the medieval mining town.
For many centuries, the Italian court was the centre of the state economic power, it is the place where silver coins were produced in the Middle Ages. Part of the Italian court is also the audience hall from the 14th century and the royal chapel. You will visit all of these places and you will enjoy an unique experience. In the seasonal clothes you will try how hard was mining´s art.
The Sedlec Ossuary is a small Roman Catholic chapel. The ossuary is estimated to contain the skeletons of between 40 000 and 70 000 people, whose bones have been artistically arranged to form decorations and furnishings for the chapel.
On the way back to Prague you can absorb experiences from all day or just enjoy the czech landscape from the window.
