The building used to be a hunting lodge. The chateau burnt out soon after it had been completed and was deserted for many years. The exterior is an interesting dominant feature of the region. At present, the interiors of the Humprecht Chateau are used for occasional exhibitions and concerts.

The tour of the chateau includes expositions on the ground floor of the chateau with black kitchens, preparation rooms and libraries, 1st floor with acoustic banqueting hall and rooms reminiscent of the use of the chateau of the Černín and Netolice families in the 17th - 19th centuries accessible from the second floor.
