About this activity
Your day begins with a 10 am pickup from your Prague hotel, our driver will take you to a meeting point with your guide. The tour starts in a
well-preserved air-raid shelter, home to some original equipment,
in an old factory, where not even the thoughest men have the guts to stay overnight.
Over the next few hours, visit
historical war bunkers, labor and prison war camps, bomb shelters, and aircraft defense cannons. Map the events of Word War II, especially its last days in Czechoslovakia when the German position was still strong and some crucial battles took place.
Visit the trenches at Splintergraben, the
German civil defense shaft, Luftschutz, and explore
places that witnessed unspeakable deeds.
Listen as your guide tells you all about the
Allied bombing of the chemical plant in Záluží and about life in the forced labor camps. Make sure to
ask any questions you may have.
During the day, take a break for lunch at a local restaurant (included).
Your tour concludes with a drop-off back at your hotel.

Martin who owns the company took us on a fact- filled tour. He is obviously passionate about history and furnished original documents for viewing and showed us various historical places in the area. We enjoyed a traditional Czech lunch as well. Keep in mind that it is over an hour's drive to the tour via private car however, the countryside is beautiful and worth the trip if you are interested in the history of the Czech role in WWII .
Great tour for WWII enthusiasts. My 22 yr old and 20 yr old sons both thoroughly enjoyed the tour activities and sights. Martin our tour guide and the owner of the tour company is passionate and knowledgeable and enjoyed sharing his enthusiasm for WWII activities in the Czech Republic with us. Getting to the tour site was an easy 1.5 hr drive through the Czech countryside. It enhanced our trip getting to see the countryside and visit where there were no other tourists. Definitely would recommend the tour for WWII enthusiasts and those that want an interesting and unique experience a short drive outside of Prague. It is cooler in the mountains so dress in layers.
