About this activity
We depart from the cruise terminal in a certified boat, riding along the shoreline to the Rio Dulce. You will enjoy the variety of seagulls, pelicans, knights and other bird species from the region as well as some migratory ones. You will also be bale to see the fishermen on their daily activities, stopping at Posada El Delfin for a fruit sampler and to use the restrooms. As you enter the Rio Dulce Canyon you will feel relaxed as you admire the 300 foot walls full of vegetation and hear sounds of the jungle. You will also learn about the pirates and buccaneers that once dominated this area. At Rio Tatin, you will board a kayak and go downstream to the village of Livingston. The village was founded in 1735 by 150 black Caribbeans who fled from Haiti to the island of Saint Vincent and from there to Guatemala. Once you reach Livingston, you will have lunch at Posada El Delfin, a 4-star hotel and restaurant certified by the Green Deal Organization. After lunch, you will tour the village before returning to the to the cruise terminal.
