Puerto Viejo: Jaguar Rescue Center + Chocolate Tour + Waterfall

This trip combines three of our favorite local activities in Puerto Viejo, near the Caribbean Coast! We’ll start the day off with an educational visit to the Jaguar Animal Rescue Center that serves as a refuge and rehabilitation center for many local animals including wild cats, monkeys, snakes, sloths and much more. Get up close in personal with these beautiful animals and prepare for some good photo ops! From there we will see organic chocolate being made from scratch by a member of the Bri Bri indigenous tribe— from plant to plate! Que Rico! The Bri Bri have a long history of chocolate production in the Puerto Viejo area - you will have an opportunity to buy some organic chocolate bars to help support the Bri Bri community. Now that you have an energy boost from trying the chocolate, we’ll head off about 30 minutes outside of town to a breathtaking waterfall to go for a hike and refreshing swim.
