About this activity

You will be picked up directly from your hotel/residential and once arrived at the ranch will be greeted by the tour guide. After receiving brief safety instructions, the adventure starts! You will have a great time driving through the dust and mud and trying the local coffee and cocoa.

You will get very dirty, totally covered in mud and dust. You’ll swim in a really cool cave and go to the beautiful Macao beach. These two stops are definitely the best part of this excursion. The tour it’s around 4-5 hours of time including the hotel transfer. You get to see the real Dominican countryside. This tour is extremely enjoyable and a great learning experience and it’s guaranteed fun.

Wear outdoor clothes you don’t care about. Bring a bandanna to cover your face (or you can buy one at the ranch) and sunglasses too. Lots of vendors around, some of them very pushy. If you are not interested in buying anything maybe you could ask them to take some pictures of you and give them a small tip. They will be very happy anyway.

With this tour you’ll get to see a part of the country you wouldn’t normally see at your hotel and you will learn a lot about life in the island. A fun filled day for those searching for a ”down and dirty” ride to see the natural beauty of the Dominican Republic.

All buggies have an automatic transmission so there’s no need to shift. These are banged up buggies that are fun to drive but may break down during the run on Macao’s rugged back roads. Furthermore, they are not built for comfort, instead to get muddy. Mechanics follow the group at all times in case of any malfunction.
Driver must be 18 years old (minimum). There is no age restrictions on being a passenger
Not advised for the old and young since the ride is rough and bumpy
Zigzag or passing other buggies is not allowed for safety reasons
Do not go in the water if you do not know how to swim
