Snow tubing at Valcartier was awesome, we got there when it opened which is highly recommended as the lines get very long late in the day, within about 2 hours we had ridden all the slides as much as we wanted and headed inside for hot chocolate. There were some helpful people at the door leading out to the tube runs to give us a description of the slides and then we were on our own, grab a tube and take the moving chain of tubes to the top of the first hill, then pick a hill and get to it. We started on the easy side and rode them all, though most are on a single tube, there were a couple of runs that you do in a round or river type raft and slide down with a large group, note that it's a bit of work to carry these rafts back to the system that takes them up the hill, so have about 8 people handy for this task. The other side of the hill has Himalaya and Everest, a couple of big fast slides, we did them both and like Himalaya best so we did it several times. A great day! We then got tickets for the ice hotel and went inside, it was not finished but the bar was open so we had a drink and looked around, you can get a ticket with a drink included, that's recommended! It's a great spot for photos and just to look around at the ice sculptures and funky lights. Great day at Valcartier.
