Two-Day Tour of Bird-Watching, Cacao Farms and Chocolate Tasting

Day 1: Quito - Mindo - Los Bancos (D)

Pick-up at your hotel in Quito at 9am. On the road to Mindo, you will appreciate the different landscape while the altitude changes, which fluctuates between 1500 and 1800 meters above sea level.

At 10:15am, you'll arrive at Bellavista Reserve. Several trails are available. You'll have time to do one trail (of your choice with your guide) and have a cup of local coffee. When you return, you will have lunch in the reserve (lunch is not included).

At 12:40pm, you'll get to visit a Butterfly Farm. The largest butterfly farm in Ecuador is a great place to visit with kids. At 1:30pm, it'll be time for exploring the canopy or other adventure activities such as walking, tubing, etc.

At 5pm, it's time to visit "El Descanso", an amazing place where you will see a lot of birds such as toucans and hummingbirds.

Overnight at El Encanto Resort (Dinner included).

Day 2 - Los Bancos - Mindo - Quito

The second day is full of delights. You'll have free time after the breakfast to enjoy the hotel facilities and at 10am approximately, you will leave for the organic cocoa farm, a delicious and very instructive visit of one hour.

We'll have lunch at "El Mirador" (lunch is not included).

At 2 or 3pm, depending on timing, you'll have the second gourmet activity which includes a visit to El Quetzal to see how the organic cocoa is used. You'll have a chocolate tour, a chocolate testing and you will taste their unique flavor brownie! You'll also have the possibility to buy some of the finest chocolate and coffee of Ecuador produced in the area.

At 5pm, it'll be time to return to Quito. Drop-off at your hotel will be between 6:30 and 7pm.
