This is by far my favorite hot spring tour out off all the hot springs I visited in Iceland. The hike took about 40 minutes or even longer for me because my friend and I kept stopping to take photos and videos. Our guide Henrik was great, very knowledgeable and enthusiastic.
The day was sunny and beautiful. The hike up wasn't terrible, but I do walk 7 miles a day. I know an older couple that was with us was not able to make it all the way to the hot springs and had to turn around early. But it was their choice. And they just went and sat at the little cafe down the mountain! But the scenery was gorgeous. Beautiful! Must see! Plenty of time at the springs. Only negative was the bugs flying around your face, but once you get used to them no other cons. Either come with your swimsuit on or be comfortable to change in front of everyone as there is no rooms to change into once you get to the springs. Beautiful and wonderful excursion and I highly highly recommend!!! Mike was an amazing tour guide. Funny and very knowledgable!
The scenery was beautiful, but the hike was not leisurely and we would have liked more time to take pictures. Still, I would recommend this tour for young, fit people who don't mind a lot of uphill hiliking.
This is an amazing trip through a breathtaking landscape. The first 1,5 km are uphill and quite steep, but with a normal condition there should be no problem and you are rewarded by the views. We, 72 and 73 years old, could do it without any problem. Our guide Finn was very helpful. One of our group 30 was completely untrained but Finn en ouraged her not to give up. After about 1,5 hour we reached the Hidden Valley and we went into the hot river. Everybody changes clothes in the open air, no need to be shy about that, but don't forget to take a plastic bag to put your clothes in, because when it is raining everything gets wet through. People should be warned about that. The only point of critisism. We were lucky, because the rain started when we left.
A great hike -- really enjoyed it. Not too difficult, but you do need to be fit
I loved this trip. It was a wonderful hike through beautiful landscape to the ideal hot springs. Theses springs are as natural as their surroundings. This is a good option for anyone who wants to get themselves out into some Icelandic scenery.
Amazing day - great hike and lots of fun relaxing in the hot springs. Terrific guide.
