About this activity
Depart Reykjavík for a thrilling day trip to one of Iceland’s most iconic attractions.
Travel by bus to Langjökull’s man-made Ice Cap Glacier, a stunning world of deep caves, frozen corridors, and sparkling blue ice.
Along the way, you’ll stop at Deildartunguhver, Europe’s highest flowing hot spring, as well as Hraunfossa — a series of waterfalls formed by rivulets streaming over a lava field.
Then, take a short break at Húsafell before boarding an 8-wheel monster truck for a journey into the Ice Cap’s caves. Travel deep within this magnificent glacier, marveling at the spectacular frozen surrounds as you go.
Next, it’s time to disembark the vehicle and continue along through the glacier’s corridors and caves — about 1,650 feet (500 meters) on foot. The caves are lit by colorful LED lights making the descent into the glacier a magical journey.
Afterward enjoy a leisurely ride back to your pickup location in central Reykjavík.

The experience into the ice cave was great experience but the tour itself was unorganized. The day started with the tour bus leaving our hotel pick up location without picking us up. We had to call up the company and were told to call a different company who was in charge of it. Very unorganized!!!!
Not my expectation to adventure in the Ice Cave
This tour was amazing and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to visit the glaciers. The main tour was lead by Fannar and he was very knowledgeable and was good company. He made us laugh while still being very informative throughout the tour. He even took us on an extra special stop because we had extra time! You will have to take the tour to find out where that stop was. But if he takes you there, you won't be disappointed. For the ice cave part we had an incredible guide named Sophia who is a professional musician in Iceland. She sang us an Icelandic hymn in the chapel and it sounded beautiful. She was also very informative and was a great guide.
Once in a lifetime....tremendous experience. Highly recommend. Guides were great.
Its all worth it. going there is already an adventure. reaching the bottom of the glacier was awesome. we loved it
