You'll meet your captain and the crew at Reykjavík's Old Harbour where you'll board the luxury yacht, known as Amelia Rose. The ship is designed as an offshore vessel, making it better adapted to take on turbulent waters, so you'll get a smoother sail with less probability of experiencing nausea or seasickness.
During your journey, you will sail among the small islands in the Faxaflói Bay, and along the coast of Reykjavík before the yacht begins making its way away from the lights of the city, allowing you to enjoy the beauty of the Northern Lights to the fullest.
The panoramic triple deck area allows every passenger to enjoy the breathtaking colours of the auroras, and to capture some amazing photos of the green, pink and white lights. The tour is also conducted in a small group, so your experience will be both personal and memorable.
If there is rain or wind, don't worry! The decks are partially covered to provide shelter from the elements, and you can easily circle these decks to get the best view of the Aurora Borealis. If, however, you wish to stay inside during the hunt for the Northern Lights, you will find a lovely bar and lounge area inside where you can relax in comfort.
In case the northern lights do not show up, you don't have to worry because you can try again for free on the next available departure.

I would recommend the Amelia Rose for Northern Lights and Whale Watching tours for all travelers to Iceland. The yacht is unique, the crew friendly and accommodating and the whole experience worth the price. We didn't see the Northern Lights on our scheduled tour and came back the next night. There was some light behind clouds on our second try, but not what we had expected. In fact, due to weather conditions, the Northern Lights didn't appear our six nights in Reykjavik. Nature cannot be controlled. Even though we didn't see the Northern Lights, the experience on the comfortable and warm yacht was fun in itself. Skip the big boats and enjoy the Amelia Rose!
