About this activity

We start the tour at Gullfoss and drivie straight to the Langjökull area, Iceland’s second largest glacier, where we will gear up for the highlight of the tour: snowmobiling by star light.

We provide additional warm clothing at the base including winter overalls, gloves and hat to wear over the top of your own warm clothing along with a helmet, and after a briefing from the guides on how to safely drive the snowmobiles we'll set off on our adventure.

The snowmobiles’ headlights will guide our way and a whole new world opens up for us as we gaze upon the glacier at night.

Should the odds be in our favour, we will be able to experience the Northern Lights like nowhere else from here, far away from the city lights. The serene environment of the glacier makes you feel as if you are alone in the world and the stars seem so close you’ll want to reach out and try to touch them.

Good walking shoes or boots are recommended, as the glacier can sometimes be slippery
