Þingvellir (Thingvellir) is a historic site and national park in Iceland, east of Reykjavík. It's known for the Alþing (Althing), the site of Iceland's parliament from the 10th to 18th centuries. Stop At: Gullfoss, White River, Blaskogabyggd 801 Iceland
The wide Hvítá river flows southward, and about a kilometre above the falls it turns sharply to the right and flows down into a wide curved three-step "staircase" and then abruptly plunges in two stages (11 metres or 36 feet, and 21 metres or 69 feet) into a crevice 32 metres (105 ft) deep. The crevice, about 20 metres (66 ft) wide and 2.5 kilometres (1.6 mi) in length, extends perpendicular to the flow of the river. The average amount of water running down the waterfall is 140 cubic metres (4,900 cu ft) per second in the summer and 80 cubic metres (2,800 cu ft) per second in the winter. The highest flood measured was 2,000 cubic metres (71,000 cu ft) per second.

I needed a tour that would work with walking limitations A great tour Home as a great tour guide and driver
What a great day! This was an amazing private tour. We were picked up at the cruise port and brought to so many stops that were off the beaten path and not visited by tour buses. We stopped at a local farm for homemade ice cream and somehow managed to avoid all the tour buses at the larger sights. Our guide was extremely professionalism and the tour was breathtaking. He shared a lot of knowledge with us during the day and it was so nice to have such a personal experience. Having a private tour was extremely advantageous as it gave us total flexibility with our schedule, stops and nothing beats the 1 on 1 attention we were provided. The overall price was comparable to or less than similar tours offered in bulk through the cruise line. Clearly, this was the right choice!!! I highly recommend this tour to first time visitors or return visitors looking for a personal tour of the Golden Circle.
