Stop At: Kleifarvatn Lake, Road 42 Iceland

Pick up at your hotel around 9.00 AM, or meet us at bus stop number 8, next to Hallgrímskirkja church, at 9.20 AM. We will start our journey by driving through a thrilling lava field on our way to the Reykjanes Peninsula.

Kleifarvatn Lake: We will drive past Lake Kleifarvatn, which is formed solely by plate tectonics and rifting of the Earths crust from the Eurasian and North American plates.

Seltún: Seltún is a beautifully coloured geothermal area. The geothermal activity brings bubbling mud pools and colorful solfataras right up to the surface. The beautiful colours are due to sulphur as well as white and yellowish brown sulphates that have been deposited.

Stop At: Bridge Between Continents, Road 425 Iceland

Gunnuhver Hot Spring: One of the hottest places in Iceland. The temperature below the surface can amount to about 300° C. Gunnuhver, is named after a female ghost, named Gunna, that was laid there.

Bridge Between Two Continents: The Bridge Between Continents is a small footbridge over a major fissure, which is formed by tectonics and rifting from two continental plates, the Eurasian and North American plates.

Reykjanes Lighthouse and Cliffs: After passing the Reykjanesviti lighthouse, the oldest lighthouse in Iceland, we well venture towards the sea where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Atlantic Ocean, high cliffs and black rock formations.

Stop At: Blue Lagoon, Nordurljosavegur 9, Grindavik 240 Iceland

Blue Lagoon: The day ends in the relaxing atmosphere in the Blue Lagoon. Enjoy destressing and lounging in one of the most fmaous hot springs in the world.

Return from the Blue Lagoon to Reykjavík around 5PM.
