Stop At: Golden Circle Route, Iceland
Golden Circle tour is the tour to take if you only take one tour in Iceland! The duration of the stops vary, but it is (very roughly) at least 30 min at each of the main sights.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Thingvellir National Park, Thingvellir Iceland
You will take a short walk through Thingvellir, a National Park and UNESCO World Heritage Site, located directly between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. The history here is also fascinating; Thingvellir was the original site of what is now the longest-running parliament in the world, formed in 930 AD.
Duration: 45 minutes
Stop At: Gullfoss, White River, Blaskogabyggd 801 Iceland
Admire the majestic waterfall Gullfoss. The sheer power of the falls is mesmerizing, and its history is inspiring.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Strokkur, Haukadalsvegur, Geysir Iceland
Another stop will be in the geothermal are near Haukadalur valley. This hilly area has a lot of hot springs, but what it is most renowned for is its geysers. The largest, Geysir gave the world the word geyser, while Strokkur is the most active in the area, shooting water up to 30 meters high every five to ten minutes.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Secret Lagoon - Gamla Laugin, Hvammsvegur, Fludir 845 Iceland
On this tour, you will also get the time to slow down and relax like a local. Secret lagoon is Iceland’s oldest swimming pool, filled with water trickling in from an adjacent geothermal area, which, as an added bonus, has another little geyser. Its location could not be more serene, and you will no doubt ease away any tension built up over your holiday in its healing waters.

This was a wonderful way to see some of the great beauty of Iceland. Dooley, our guide, was so pleasant! He shared good information and you could feel his love of his country. Highly recommend this tour.
The tour experience was seamless, the guide was fun and knowledgeable, and we even made an extra detour to a fun ice cream shop hen the highway was blocked by sheep (typical for September in Iceland). Highly recommend this tour!
Being a photographer, I could have used more time at most of the stops, but that's just me. The views we went to were wonderful as was our guide.
Tour was perfect for a one day trip, got to see a variety of natural Icelandic gems. Tour guide Dooley was knowledgeable, friendly and gave nice personal touches to the tour. Just enough time at each stop, and home early enough to still enjoy the evening. 100% would recommend!
Wonderful weather, terrific scenery and Oli was the best guide anyone could have; kind, considerate, knowledgeable!! Can’t say enough about how enjoyable it was to see the National Park, Gyser, and the Secret Lagoon!!! A wonderful day, thanks Oli.
Our tour guide Trond was great. Pickup was spot on time. As it was a small group, around 12 people, and beautiful weather, he took his time with our tour. He stopped at a few extra points and gave us extra time at the secret lagoon to enjoy the great weather. The tour lasted about 9 and a half hours and we never felt rushed. He even dropped us off at a restaurant we wanted to visit in the evening instead of our hotel. I have done other tours in Iceland and this was up there as the best
We hit the major sites on this Golden Circle Tour. Baulder did an excellent job giving us some backround/history at each site. He even threw in an "extra" on the Iceland horses, which everyone thought was special. I'm glad we chose this tour because it was a smaller group. Also, it was convenient because we were picked up/dropped off at a location that was within walking distance to our Airbnb. It was a very enjoyable day!
This tour was a good introduction to Iceland and the golden circle. The driver was courteous and helpful and had lot of good insights on the trip. I would gladly take this again.
Loved the small group tour. Ian was a wonderful guide. Fantastic scenery. Loved the mushroom farm lunch stop.
Our tour guide, Andres, was wonderful. Lots of knowledge and humor. The tour bus was comfortable and we enjoyed all the stops. The Secret Lagoon is cozy and a great last stop, including a bar.
This is an excellent tour of interesting and beautiful sites... We enjoyed the entire tour and our Guide, Dooley's, knowledge about farming and fishing and about Iceland. We wish we could have spent a little more time at the first stop, Pingvellir National Park as we literally had to jog between the site where parliament met and the site where we could view the waterfall, and get back to the bus within half an hour. Also, it would have been helpful to arrive back in Rejkyavik not in the middle of rush hour as we wasted time dealing with traffic congestion.
Our guide IAN, was very knowledgeable, with great sense of humor. The secret lagoon was a highlight of the trip
The Golden Circle is supposed to be a must do in everyone's list and I can see why. Our guide was Dooley and he was well versed in the Icelandic history and geography. His plus was that he grew up in the north and entertained us with stories of his growing up and his family. The places we went were stunning, and we visited at a reasonable pace and did not feel rushed. The visit to the Secret Lagoon was a little blah! it was the only part that I was not impressed with but overall the day was worthwhile and I left fully satisfied with the experience.
We were in Iceland for 2 days only. This tour offers you a chance to see many sites in one very full day. The guide/driver was excellent.
Our guide Dooley was nothing short of amazing; he shared stories of his upbringing in Northern Iceland and gave us all sorts of interesting information about the sites we were visiting. If you are in Iceland for a short time and are looking for a day tour, look no further than the Golden Circle!
our guide Gummi was very knowledgeable, and has a passion for retelling the history of Iceland. Which he presented to us with enthusiasm. The trip was exciting! We would love to go to the Secret Lagoon again!
We booked this trip as it seemed to give a lot for a first time visitor with limited time. It didn’t disappoint. Our guide (Sola) was really knowledgeable and gave us lots of interesting information throughout the tour without being overbearing in any way. We had adequate time at each of the stops also. Thoroughly recommended
We started our trip with this tour and it provided great background information about Iceland and the geography. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly, and it was nice having a small group instead of a large tour bus which some tours had (we had a medium-sized van). It was a nice mix of site-seeing, listening to information, walking, eating, and swimming!
Our tour guide Bjorn was amazing! He was very knowledgeable about Icelandic history made made it fun with his awesome sense of humor. We saw a lot of incredible sights but never felt rushed. We will definitely do this tour again when we return.
