I would have given this zero stars but could not. It is our opinion that the company providing this tour is a fraud This is why we suspect the tour is fraudulent: 1. Company did not confirm pickup time and finally we called viator 2. We called several times but the Company did not answer phone. Viator also called and they did not answer 3. Capital One credit card texted us and asked if the charge was real or fraud 4. Driver did not understand where to pick us up, he seemed to think he had other people to pick up, not us 5. When we arrived at marina, no one from the company was there to direct us and there were no signs about where to go 6. We reached company via WhatsApp and they first told us embarking would be at 830. At 824 we asked where to go and he replied ‘go to deck, ask for saviero’. Wwe found a restaurant called ‘the deck’ but it was closed and no one was there 7. Finally he sent photo of the deck’ but no one was there 8. We asked security guard, who had a ship log, and she said we were in the right place and boat leaves at 930. Her log showed no 9 am boats listed to be leaving today 9. At 841 company texted on WhatsApp that boat would arrive in 5 mins. At 903 the boat had not arrived. At 935 wE boarded the only tour boat available, gray line with saviero, but they said we had the wrong ticket. 10. At 947 company left voicemail that it’s not a catamaran, it’s a regular boat. But there were no other boats . Plus the name of the tour was ‘catamaran boat trip through guanabara bay in Rio’ 11. Gray line and saviero finally agreed we could be on their tour and they would try to collect from catamaran company Rio tours tourismo. Mrs saviero was extremely nice to let us on. She told us also that Rio tours tourismo had scammed them this same way before!!! It is our hope that Viator investigates this company and drops them.
