Half Day Rio de Janeiro Tour: Corcovado + Christ the Redeemer

After pick-up at your hotel, we'll drive by van to Paineiras, at the base of the Corcovado Mountain. A short drive of about 20 minutes through the Tijuca Forest takes us to the Christ the Redeemer statue. The top of Corcovado hill stands at 710 meters (2308 feet) above sea level. At the top enjoy the truly spectacular views of Rio and the surrounding countryside. Your guide will point out Guanabara bay, Niterói, Rodrigo de Freitas lagoon, the botanical garden, the Jockey Club and the Tijuca National Park, Further north, you’ll see Copacabana, Botafogo, Flamengo and the famous Sugar Loaf. After the descent, we will continue with the tour to visit the Metropolitan Cathedral of Rio de Janeiro, the Sambadrome, work of Oscar Niemeyer and stage the most popular festival in Brazil and an external view of the Maracanã Stadium Mario Filho. Return to the hotel.
