Caravaggio and Wine Tasting Walking Tour

Discover the three pillars of Italian civilization: food, art and wine! Join this tour for a gastro-cultural stroll through the elegant neighborhoods of Rome around the Spanish Steps, with tastings of top-quality wine, cheese, meats and sweets from local vendors. Along the way, you will also visit some of the churches and squares where masters like Caravaggio and Bernini left their masterpieces.

This tour starts in Piazza del Popolo with a visit to the Church of St. Maria del Popolo, which houses two paintings by Caravaggio. On the way from Piazza del Popolo to the Spanish Steps you will walk through some of the most elegant streets, including the charming via Margutta with its art galleries as well as the exclusive via Condotti with its boutiques. From the Spanish Steps you will cross Via del Corso through Piazza San Lorenzo in Lucina on the way to the Church of St. Agostino. There you will admire another painting by Caravaggio as well as one by Raffaello. After this two-hour stroll, the tour will end at a characteristic wine bar for a classic Italian aperitif with a tasting of white and red wine.
