Excellent. Guide was excellent. Very Knowledgeble. Would recommend. The climb into the Dome is not for the faint hearted. Tour of St Peters Basilica and crypt was excellent
We really enjoyed this tour. Laura was a great guide, very knowledgeable and funny. The meet-up and sorting people into groups went well. We started early, 8am so the queue for security was not too bad but Laura took our minds off the queue by talking to us about the architecture and history and keeping us interested. We then went up the lift to the gallery before starting the climb of 322 steps to the top of the dome. It was hard going but the view was worth it. Laura then took us into the church with microphones so we could hear everything that was said, the crowds weren't too bad, the sights are amazing and Laura kept her interesting commentary going throughout the tour. Laura then took us into the Crypt before the tour was complete. We would recommend this tour as an alternative to the museums if you want to avoid the crowds.
This tour was one of the highlights for us in Rome!! The climb was an adventure in itself with incredible views along the way.
Not enjoyable. Guide was knowledgeable but the crowds were oppressive. I found the men working in St Peters to be arrogant and rude. We paid a lot for not much.
I enjoyed the tour however, the guide was unprepared and the directions for the meeting point was poor creating undo stress. The guide did not prepare for the group we had. Apparently there is a limit for guides and tourists before you should have a microphone when touring the Basilica. It would have been nice to be able to hear the guide and not be escorted out before she was complete with her tour. luckily I booked a more detailed trip for the afternoon by another company to give a more detailed tour. The view up to the Basilica dome was beautiful.
This was an excellent tour and exceeded our expectations. It was a small group and Felix, our guide, made the whole experience enjoyable and informative. By starting early you miss all the lines and crowds which makes this tour well worth doing.
Great tour, hit all the important sites. Tour guide Emma was super informative and attentive.
