The Master worked in total 9 years inside the Sistine Chapel and painted first the Creation of the World with stories of the Genesis book in 4 years, while in 5 years Farnese he painted the Last Judgment for the Pope Paul the III.

A priority entrance will be taken from the Sistine Chapel to access to the Basilica of St. Peter’s, another spectacular holy building designed by over 6 architects. Among them, there are Bramante, Raphael, Michelangelo, and Bernini.

Discover the amazing Popes' Tombs, also known under the name of Vatican Grottoes. Popes' Tombs are located in the underground level of St. Peter Basilica, below the central nave. Among these, you can find St. Peter Tomb, the most renowned one, which is located beneath the altar of the Basilica. Moreover, John Paul II and many other Popes are buried here. As your guide will explain to you, Vatican Grottoes are part of the "old" Basilica, built by order of Emperor Constantine the Great.
