Our guide was fantastic, and really engaged with our children aged 8 and 12 on a very warm day over 35 degrees. Informative and fantastic! Even suggested best gelato bar after tour finished. Thank you.
Fantastic trip with Serena our guide. We were only with another family who were lovely also so we were very lucky. The children receive a pop up book and there are are nice surprises on the way to keep them interested and engaged. I would definitely reccommend this tour to all families!
The tour was very unorganized which caused it to run over 4.5 hours. There were no breaks, not for bathroom nor water. Most families left at 3 hours with only seeing the Colosseum. The material presented was babyish. My 9 year old was annoyed at the level. The most ridiculous thing was the guy dressed up as some kind of Topsy character. It made no sense. Perhaps that would entertain kids less than 6, but most people just rolled their eyes. We would have gotten more out of the experience if we just walked the sites by ourselves.
Serena was great with the kids. She was a wealth of information for the kids as well as the adults. She was very thoughtful and brought with her a Rome book with pictures of what ancient Rome would have looked like, very useful when describing what the environment would have looked like - to both children and adults. Well worth the expense.
