Stop At: Colosseum, Piazza del Colosseo, 00184 Rome Italy
Meet your guide near the Colosseum to begin a fun-filled 2.5 hours learning about ancient Rome.
This special tour of the ruins of ancient Rome will take you and your family through the magnificent highlights of the ancient city of Rome. Skip the lines and gain quick access to see the interior of the Colosseum, known as the most old and grandest amphitheater of the Roman Empire.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
Stop At: Arco di Tito, Via Sacra 1 Foro Romano, 00186 Rome Italy
You will learn about the full-blooded gladiators (actually slaves) that fought brave battles against one another or they’d fight ferocious animals (which were imported from all around the world to entertain the mesmerized crowd) to save their own lives. These were the best gladiators who came to Rome to put their lives on the line to fight for the ultimate prize – a chance for their freedom.
Duration: 10 minutes
Stop At: Roman Forum, Piazza Santa Maria Nova, 53, 00186 Rome Italy
After closing your gasped expressions from viewing the Colosseum you will wander over to the Roman Forum and stroll along the ancient and cobbled streets to learn about the life of the early Romans. Not only will you see the mystical ruins of the Emperor’s Palace, the Arch of Titus and ancient temples, you will gaze over important political buildings from the time of the great Roman Empire.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Basilica of Maxentius, Via Sacra 1 Clivo di Venere Felice, 00186 Rome Italy
The best thing about this tour and out of any other tours in Rome is the fact that it’s a favorite tour to entice kids into the midst of Roman history, something that is very important. The tour is fully outdoors and the itinerary and stories they’ll learn are really exciting and it’s perfectly okay if they touch things. As with any ruins there are boundaries to be respected however being outdoors is better than being inside a busy and packed boundary lined museum as there are fewer restrictions - they can explore and imagine about more interesting places.
Duration: 10 minutes

Ended up being a private tour, tour guide had lot of energy and lots to tell. PhD in Archeology, very impressive
Marco our guide met us at the designated spot. He was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about his subject but spoke extremely fast and was difficult to understand at times because of it. This tour was for families with young children. He tried to engage the children but I think the parents learned more although my grandson was able to tell us what he did learn so obviously some of it sunk in. The presentation was really more aimed at older children than elementary grades. There is lot of standing and listening, walking over very rough surfaces and climbing steep steps which does not lend itself to those who are mobility challenged. There was a sign that indicated a "handicap" route but it was not clear where the route was. We did not see an elevator or ramp not to say there were not any available. Overall the family enjoyed the tour. Wish there was less standing and listening and more movement and observation.
Our tour guide was Sara, she was great! Very informative and kept the 5 children on our tour engaged with games and knowledge. I thought this was a great way to see the Colloseum and I learned a lot myself! All families were going to give Sara a tip but she did a quick exit so stick around next time for your own good Sara! Highly recommended
We had a wonderful time with our guide Marco. He was very knowledgeable and kept the children all involved and attentive. I would highly recommend this tour.
This was the highlight of our holiday in Rome. On a freezing January morning she did a great job keeping our 8,7 and 3 year olds engaged in the tour. Every time she detected their interest going down she pulled out another activity, video on the iPad, a picture or interesting fact that got kids and adults going! She was very enthusiastic, extremely knowledgeable, patient and flexible. Absolutely loved the tour! Thank you Alessandra!
Alex (Alessandra) was a great guide. She kept the kids engaged as much as they would allow. Since it was first thing in the morning we got to skip the lines and didnt have to wait for anything, whcih was great with the amount of people in line.
Alessandra was an amazing guide - she kept us and our hot and tired 9 year old enthralled with her stories, knowledge and enthusiasm. Charlie loved her to bits and she was flexible and understanding and it will be a day we will always remember - thank you.
