We loved our afternoon in the gallery!! The tour did not include the Gardens, but we spent a few hours wandering around ourselves which was just lovely. If you love art you will not be disappointed!
Our guide, Irish Louise from Walks - Italy, etc, really made this visit for us. Her knowledge of and passion for the work she was explaining really shone through, and navigated us expertly to see the key works despite competition from numerous other groups and their guides.
Took this guided tour with my wife on June 11, 2019. Our guide Felix was simply outstanding. His knowledge of Art History was extremely appreciated. Felix has a PHD in Art History and had an unbelievable style delivering his message making everything informative and historical. One of the best guides I have ever had. Well done Felix.
Museum was spectacular and Felix brought the museum pieces to life. Thank you for a great afternoon. Only disappointment was that pictures could not be taken and they had no product that was small and easily packable
Great tour guide, he was very knowledgeable and kindly answered many questions. I would definitely recommend him
Magnificent artwork mesmerised by Bernini's work
This tour was taken on March 11, 2018 at 2:45 p.m. Our tour guide was Sara M. from Walks of Italy. I was impressed by her knowledge, interpretation and skills her explanation was perfect. There was no rush. This was not my first visit to the Borghese Gallery. Nevertheless, I learned a lot from Sara M. and would not mind to repeat the same Borghese Gallery tour with her. Grazie mille, Sara M., for this interesting, wonderful, unforgettable tour. This tour is a must and highly recommended.
HOW DOES ONE DESCIBE THE SHEER ARTISTRY OF THE OLD MASTERS ESPECIALLY BERNINI. EVEN WITH MY BAD KNEES I WOULD CLIMB A THOUSAND STAIRCASES TO VIEW THIS AGAIN. OUR GUIDE WAS EXTREMELY VERSED ON THE SUBJECTS AND HELPED WITH ALL OUR QUESTIONS WHETHER THEY RELATED TO THE BORGHESES OR HOW TO GET A TAXI. TO BE ABLE TO ASCERTAIN THE POLITICS OF THE TIME AND WHAT ALL THOSE PEOPLE HAD TO ENDURE JUST TO SURVIVE IN SUCH AN ENVIRONMENT WAS AWESOME. PLEASE KEEP ON DOING WHAT YOU ARE DOING TO BRING US UP TO SPEED ON A CULTURE WE HAVE NO WAY OF EXPERIENCING.
Excellent tour - wonderful tour guide !!!! Worth seeing.
