About this activity
The Roma Capitale farmer's market at the Circus Maximus was created to give Romans and tourists a unique experience with the authentic local food and wine traditions directly from the farmers, breeders and shepherds who have preserved them for generations. Here are the products to lord it: the Cori artichoke, the Romanesco broccoli, the puntarelle, the Trevignano tomato, but also the cheeses like the mythical Caciofiore of Columella, the marzolina, passing through the olives of Gaeta, the truffles of Campoli Apennines, honey, beef and pork and a fresh milk dispenser.

Had an amazing time shopping in the market, learning cooking techniques, making homemade pasta, and enjoying all 4 dishes we created in the beautiful garden. Thank you Marco and Nicoleta for a great experience!
When we signed up for the class it said a maximum of eight and we had 12 people in our class. It was so crowded and so many people that half the time we did not know what they were doing or how to do it You spend a lot of time standing around and really did not get to cook anything. There was not enough room at the Counter for everyone. I felt like they were just trying to maximize their profits and didn’t care at all about the quality of the class. Half the time we could not hear or see what they were doing and the people running it did not seem to care. I felt like it was all about making the most money possible they cramming us all in there. We had taken the same class two years earlier and it was outstanding. This time it was absolutely the worst and a waste of a day in room! I would never recommend this particular class to anyone. I’m quite sure 2/3 of the class was extremely unhappy with the entire experience. we spent most of her time standing around with nothing to do and even when we sat down to dinner they only had 11 places set so when poor person had to wait while they added an additional setting for them. I will say it again find a better class that cares about the experience not just making money!
Great experience! Lots of fun, great chefs, great food. One of the best parts of our trip! Worth every minute of it.
We had a really great time! We learned a lot and the meal at the end was the best of our 2 week trip to Italy.
Best cooking class experience. I would definitely recommended this class. Take you to buy the groceries, cheese stores, and the kitchen is amazing.
Monica was our chef and did an OUTSTANDING job of teaching us the recipes, food shopping at the market and making the entire time enjoyable. I would definitely rate this experience as Fantastic.
We went to Rome a day before our Trafalgar Tour just to take part in this cooking class and were so glad we did. The stops at the various shops/markets were so interesting prior to the cooking portion of the class. The location of the class far exceeded my expectation with room for the group to gather and prepare the pasta. The chef and her assistant were friendly, professional and entertaining as well. Highly recommend!
can't wait to do this again! amazing shopping, prepping and cooking with authentic Italians....absolutely loved this! Purchased the cookbook and can't wait to cook for my family and friends!
Fantastic experience!!! Loved the small group atmosphere and that it was all hands on! Amazing food as well and the chef was one in a million! So great!
Exceptional experience. The Chef was amazing.
Unexpectedly a great experience I'm definitely not a cook nor do I cook regularly! Loved that it was intimate with 7 people including myself in the class and the chef took us through a market to shop for ingredients to be used for our dishes while explaining all the ingredients and giving us background information on them. The lesson lasted about 6-7 hours from start to end and included the chef serving us a 5-course meal including 3 of the different pasta dishes we helped make at the end outside in a little patio area. Experience and food were great!
This was so much fun. We followed chef through the market and shopped for fresh produce, meat and cheeses. A short walk to the kitchen where we prepared the best food I had in Rome. This is a pleasant change from all the sightseeing and crowds. You wont regret this experience.
