We met our guide and immediately started with an educational tour of the Palestine Hill and other ruins. Along the way our guide answered everything related to the ruins as well as other questions. We had a separate guide for the Colosseum tour... We never waited in any lines and had access to restricted areas. I would do this tour again.
Fantastic tour guide. So knowledgeable and friendly. Would definitely recommend this to others. Loved the small group - which turned out to be private as the other party didn't show.
We took this tour from Roma experience tours . The guide was one of the best I have seen . Thoroughly knowledgable and guided us with passion . 4 hours of immersion in history and every major detail was explained. In the colosseum we went inside the arena , the underground tunnels , the cages where the animals were kept and the galleries. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a quality tour .
Fabulous tour, excellent guide, not just colosseum but also palatine hill. Thoroughly recommend this one.
Although our guide lacked any enthusiasm for this marvelous site, it's a 'must see'. I think we would have been better off and more informed had we done a self guided audio tour. Far too many long breaks and not much info outside of the basics. The site was fabulous, the tour was not.
Excellent tour that skipped lines and took you onto the Colosseum arena floor and then down under the arena, amazing to see. The tour continued all over the Colosseum and onto Palatine Hills and Forum. Guide very knowledgeable and entertaining throughout the tour.
This tour gave me history and learned a lot from it. On top of it, our tour guide mixed it with humorto make it entertaining. The ruins of the Roman Forum and treading along the cobblestone path of the Palatine Hill made me think of the movies I used to watch, but now, I was actually on it. Incredible feeling while cruising the ancient path of the Roman Empire.
AWESOME!!! Was able to view the Colosseum main level and the underground. Seeing the underground tunnels and the areas where the animals and gladiators were housed was amazing. Gives you a new perspective on how things were back then. The Coloseum is a masterpiece and I highly recommend that you do the underground tour!
It was an excellent tour with excellent and very knowledgeable guides who spoke perfect English. We had two different guides, one for the top of the Colosseum and the other one for the inner/lower part. It broke up the tour a little because my kids (8 and 12 years old) started getting a little restless. While we were in the top part of the Colosseum there was also a third person who ensured nobody got left behind. All of us had our individual headset to hear our guide speak which was perfect!
We only booked one guided tour on our recent two-week trip to Italy, and it was this one. Our goal was to have access tot he Colosseum Underground, but we got so much more from the tour than just that. Our guide, Francesca, was engaged the entire four hours with the group as we explored the Forum and Colosseum. She answered questions and kept everyone's interest going, without letting anybody monopolize the group's time or her focus. She brought an excellent perspective and her passion for the subject matter was on obvious display. Booking a long tour like this is a costly investment in both time and money -- but we were very glad we did.
