great tour, group was just the right size. guide had extensive knowledge as worked in the colosseum as part of the archaeology team. would recommend this tour
Giorgio was our guide and was extremely knowledgeable. He brought along a great book that contained overlays of how the ruins initially appeared. It made it so much easier to visualize. I learned a great deal and definitely enjoyed the tour. We would have missed so much if we tried to do it on our own. Would absolutely recommend.
Our tour lasted exactly 2 hours which was 1 full hour shorter than advertised. It says 3 hours with professional tour guide right in the description. Very disappointing for a tour on the higher end of the price scale for this type of tour.
Frederico was highly knowledgeable and this tour was very informative and enjoyable despite the rain.
Halina was our tour guide. she had excellent knowledge and generated lot of interest in roman history while being humerous all the time. tour started with clear cut instructions at the tour office. then we walked down to collosseum. we always felt safe during the tour inspite of it being a busy easter weekend. we were taken around the collosseum viewing area but not the arena and basement area. I was hoping to go in there. Colosseum tour was a bit hurried. Then we went to roman forum and the ancient ruins to hear and see lots of interesting history especially of julius caesar. Only after seeing why they call rome a layer cake. the tour finished off at the creamation place of julius caesar. we would certainly recommend it if you want a quick tour to cover these areas
Our guide, Dennis, was amazing. Very knowledgeable to the Ancient Rome history. My family and I really enjoyed our time touring Ancient Rome with him. Also, we had waited at the wrong entrance and the agent was very kind to locate us. This is one tour we will always remember.
Excellent tour from City Wonders. Our guide Renata was outgoing and very knowledgeable. Be ready to walk and work - Renata will make it worth the effort.
We picked the right time of year to visit, not to hot to tour the history of Rome. We had a great guides who were very informative. Tours were just the right length of time and would certainly recommend,
It was a hot afternoon so maybe it's better to take the morning tour, but it appeared to be comprehensive not walking around the whole of the Forum but enough to get en excellent insight into life of the ancient romans. My goodness how they thrived on blood sports! And what horrors were witnessed in the arena of the Colosseum! We climbed the various levels to get good views of the structure, some of which has been restored. Then we walked across to the Forum and up to a level that gave magnificent views of the whole city. Our guide was very good.
Tour guide very knowledgeable and provided pictures to explain the history of Ancient Rome and it's people
