Hadrian's Villa is the largest and most luxurious residence ever made in the countryside, with its fabulous and impressive array of imperial palaces, thermal baths, temples, theatres and pools.
A short drive away from there is Villa D'Este, which is one of the most enchanting of the late Renaissance. This Villa was commissioned by Cardinal Ippolito II d'Este, son of Alfonso I d'Este and Lucrezia Borgia and grandson of Pope Alexander VI. It is famous for its unbelievably beautiful gardens, marvelous fountains, breathtaking waterfalls and centenary trees.
You will have the chance to appreciate the beauty of those amazing Villas with a tour guide who will be there with you and explain everything you are looking at.
Program
The tour departure is at 9.30am from the designated meeting point to arrive at Hadrian's Villa for a guided tour. You will have about a 45 minutes break for lunch. Then you will board the coach and head off to Villa d'Este for a guided visit. In the afternoon you will board the coach and head back to the tour departure point with arrival at about 4.30pm.
