About this activity

At 9:00 your guide will meet you at the hotel lobby. On the way to Peterhof you will see such sights as Narva Triumphal Gate and the President's Palace in Strelna.

10:15-10:45 - your tour of Peterhof will start with the Upper fountain garden. You will see the parade access to Peterhof and find out why Catherine the Great called it "my little orchard".

10:50-13:00 - the major attraction of Peterhof is its Lower fountain park. You will see marvelous fountains and cascades, including the impressive launch of the Grand Cascade ceremony at 11:00.

Your private guide will take you to the Grottos of the Grand Cascade - you will walk behind the main fountain complex of Peterhof and see how the fountain system operates. Peter the Great meant the Grottos for fun parties - two of the trick fountains arranged on the emperor's orders can be not only viewed, but also tried.

Time for lunch/snack/coffee is provided.

15:00 - return to your hotel.
