We booked rather late and City Tour was not able to get us tickets to Catherine Palace and the Amber Room. With our consent, they brought us to Pavlovsk Palace and it turned out wonderful! Peterhof reminded us of Versailles but so much more in grandeur and in opulence. Pavlovsk may not be as grand as Peterhof but it stood out because of its library and 18th century books. Both palaces with its preserved furnitures and cutleries lets you imagine how it must be like to have lived in their time. Our guide Elena was kind and exceptionally good. After spending a day with her, we learned a lot about Russian history, architecture, arts and modern day living. Our driver was very good as well and we felt very safe with his driving. If given a chance to come back to St. Petersburg, we will look for Citytrip and request for this team of Elena and driver. Thank you for a wonderful and informative day!
