2 Days in Saint Petersburg is a really battle of choices. There are so many things on offer for art and history lovers.

The group itinerary below has been specially designed and tested to meet the needs of cruise passengers to see the most famous highlights in 2 days. It might be strenuous but definitely rewarding.

The tour sequence presented below might be slightly different depending on week days.

Day 1:

8.00-8.30 Disembark the ship. After having passed the passport control, you will be met by your local English-speaking guide and the company representative in the arrival area of the port. (If your ship arrives Saint Petersburg at 8.00, disembarkation starts at 9.00-9.30).

8.30-10.00 City highlights tour (part 1) incl photo stops at Spit of ST Basil Island and Peter and Paul Fortress

10.00 -10.30 Transfer to Peterhoff fountain park by hydrofoil

10.30-12.00 Tour of Peterhoff Lower gardens

12.30-13.30 Lunch

14.00-15.30 Tour of Catherine Palace incl Amber room and gardens

15.30-16.45 Transfer to Saint Petersburg. Visit to a metro station on the way back to the city

16.45-18.00 City highlights tour (part 2) incl the Cathedral of Our Saviour on Spilled Blood

18.30 Return to the ship

Day 2:

9.00 Meet your guide at the arrival area of the port. Transfer to the Hermitage Museum

10.00-12.00 Hermitage Museum (early admission)

12.30-13.30 Lunch

14.00-15.30 Yusupoff Palace tour

15.45-16.30 ST-Isaac's Cathedral tour

17.00 Return to the ship

The sights were unbelievable and the small group experience was definitely worth every cent. My only issue was that we did not have the same guide both days, thus causing some repetition in things we were told and some minor issues with what we had already done. Even with the small group having whisper radios would have enhanced the experience to the very top level.
