About this activity

The 3 days private shore tour is flexible in terms of time and attractions. You will be picked up from the port by a professional guide on a private vehicle(the driver is not the guide) and escorted back to the cruise ship on time at the end of the day.

This is the approximate itinerary you are going to be offered:

Day 1:

9.00 Meet your guide in the arrival area of the port. Transfer to the Hermitage for the "early admission" (before the museum opens to the general public)

10.00-13.00 Hermitage Museum tour incl a private tour of the Golden rooms

13.30-14.30 Lunch

14.30-17.00 City highlights tour incl Peter and Paul Fortress and the Church on Spilled Blood

Day 2:

At first my husband and I thought that the cost for the 3-day private tour of St. Petersburg was quite expensive. However, in retrospect we both agreed that having a private guide and driver was worth every penny. The tour was well organized and hit all the sites were interested in. We appreciated the fact that we had direct interaction with our guide, Irina: she was there just for us. And we enjoyed her enthusiastic commentary on Russian history, culture and arts. Another advantage we thought was well worth it was to be driven directly in front of the sites and picked up on time right after our visits. Being a small group (just my husband and I) the guide was able to bypass the long lines (and there were really long queues …). There were very few delays entering the various sites. The guide was able to skillfully navigate us through the crowds.
