About this activity
Day 1:
Your fully licensed guide and professional driver of a comfortable a/c vehicle will meet you at passport immigration control next to your ship.
8 -30 Start your first day with a CITY OVERVIEW TOUR. To get a complete impression of the city in historic perspective, to get acquainted with its most famous sites, take memorable pictures
9.30 -10.30 PRIVATE CANAL CRUISE along rivers and canals of the "Venice of the North".
10.30- 11.30 PETER AND PAUL FORTRESS, which is a heart of the city, where the city been started.
12.00-12.40 Have a break in one of the local cafes to have Russian pancakes testing.
13.00-15.00 HERMITAGE MUSEUM – Includes the 4 buildings of this ensemble: the Winter Palace, the small Hermitage, the New Hermitage, and the Old Hermitage. Enjoy art collections with over three million works of art, but not only the Arts, private rooms as well.
15.00- 6.30 BE THE LOCAL TOUR offers a lovely stroll down the glorious
streets, visit the local market, do some shopping or simply enjoy a city life with a cup of coffee.
17:00 Return to the ship.
* After your tour program you may have your choice of returning to the ship or having 3-hour extension to stay in the city center.

8.00-12.00 JOURNEY TO PUSHKIN (TZARSKOE SELO) - You will visit former Tsars' summer residence - Catherine's Palace including the famous Amber Room - the 8th "wonder" of the World and Catherine's Park.
12.00-13.00 Traditional Russian lunch (included)
14.00-15.30 JOURNEY TO PETERHOF - Another summer residence of Russian emperors. You will see the Upper Garden which resembles Versailles in its planning and, the Lower Park with its splendid Fountains.
16.00-16.30 On the way back to the city you will have a short METRO TRIP, which will remind you palaces, not the underground.
17.00 Return to your ship

Generally speaking, this shore excursion is good. But there are two problems。 1. According to "What to Expect" on Viator's website, the Hermitage Museum tour should be two hours. But the tour guider cut the time to one and half hour. Hermitage Museum is the most important visiting place, two hours is short already. The tour guider should not cut the time. 2. According to "What to Expect" on Viator's website, we should return to ship at 5 PM on the second day. But the tour guider cut about one hour and drove us back to ship around 4 PM The tour guider should not cut the time.
