This Moscow-style church of Our Savior on Spilled Blood is one of the city's most beautiful landmarks. It is also variously called the Church on Spilt Blood and the Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ, its official name. The church of Resurrection on Spilled Blood was built on the spot where Alexander II was fatally wounded by the member of revolutionary organization on the 1st of March 1881. This event gave the name to the church. Stand and admire the breathtaking architecture, design and color of its stunning domes and experience a piece of historic beauty.

A must see! We had a great time. St. Petersburg was AWESOME! Lunch was not good at all. We ate the food just to be nice. Our tour guide Lydia did not even eat her food, BUT Lydia is very knowledgable, courteous and patient. Glad to have her as our tour guide. Thanks again Lydia!
