Our group of four liked it overall, but....if we had known we would not be having much food between our first stop and almost last, we would have eaten more at first stop. A full bean burrito at mid afternoon was not best choice. The food was very good overall. Would have liked learning more about the people in our group and not so much about our guides personal life. We almost started off on time @ 11:30, ending at 3:40. Plan accordingly.
Family real enjoyed themselves. We loved the tour and knowledge learned about downtown Carlsbad. The food was AWESOME! The locations picked were great. Definitely went back to some of the restaurants.
My friend and I made an impromptu plan to visit Carlsbad and take the Food and Walking Tour, hosted by Cheri. I wasn't sure what to expect, but after our first stop tasting a delicious meatball that was so large it fed four people, I was hooked. The combination of stops to sample delicious fare at family-run restaurants, with the intermingling of Cheri's insight into Carlsbad's history, was the perfect balance as it provided opportunity to get a little walking in between stops and enjoy the outdoor charms of the downtown area. I enjoyed the food so much, I wanted to come back the next day to do the tour again. Cheri is a great ambassador for small businesses in Carlsbad. Try the tour you'll be glad you did!
