About this activity
Our 2.5 hour, 10-mile Electric Scooter tour includes almost every landmark in Golden Gate Park, then takes you all the way to Ocean Beach! On this fully narrated tour of the famous 1,000-acre park, you’ll see a herd of bison, explore the towering windmills, marvel at beach murals, and much more. After a brief training session on how to safely operate the electric scooter, you’re on your way to discover the park’s delights!
Your experienced and fun tour guide will narrate your tour through a compact single ear-bud sound system. You’ll get a compact radio receiver for the duration of the tour so you won’t miss a word your guide has to say. Numerous stops are made for Instagram perfect photos – so don’t forget your phone. This fun Scooter tour is 2.5 hours long, including a quick rider recap.
On some hills the scooter will require a bit of “kick” to maintain momentum. The electric motors are helpful on the hills but are not strong enough to propel heavier guests up some slopes. Be prepared to kick.
NOTE: If you have never ridden a bike this may not be the activity for you. Riding a scooter requires side to side balance similar to riding a bike.

- Due to time limits we cannot provide riders with no previous bike riding experience (balancing) with a full training on riding and balancing on a scooter.

- Not wheelchair accessible
- Be age 16 and up and under 290 lbs (131 kg). Under 18 on tour with parent or guardian. Safety 1st.
- No guests under 16 - Current California State scooter riding law
- Pregnant guests are not allowed on the tour due to fall risk.

- Be able to easily and quickly step on and off the scooter without assistance, which requires physical abilities similar to climbing and descending stairs without any assistance or use of a handrail. You will be standing for 1.5 to 2.5 hours.
- Due to fall risk this activity is NOT recommended for some guests age 70 and up or guests with recent surgery, mobility/ motor control issues and other disabilities. Please call to discuss prior to booking. We want every rider to have a safe tour.
- Helmet and safety vest are provided and required.
- No flip-flops, open-toe sandals, or high heels.
