About this activity
Gear up for your full-day Yosemite adventure with early morning pickup from San Francisco. Relax aboard your luxury bio-fueled mini-coach across the Bay Bridge, offering great views of San Francisco Bay, the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz.
Making your way across the Central Valley — one of the largest agricultural regions in the United States — you'll have a 10-minute stop at a street-side fruit stand for a chance to purchase some fresh local nuts or fruit, and an option to pick up picnic supplies for lunch. Continue through the cattle and horse ranch lands of the Sierra Nevada foothills and Gold Country — the heartland of the California Gold Rush of 1849.
After a 4-hour drive, you'll arrive at Yosemite National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its spectacular granite cliffs, waterfalls, massive sequoia trees and biological diversity. Start your visit with a 1.5-hour driving tour through the park’s main attraction, Yosemite Valley, a glacial valley full of amazing rock formations and waterfalls. As you're in a small group, you’ll enjoy multiple photo stops for that perfect iconic picture!
Admire famous Half Dome, depicted in famous photographs by Ansel Adams, and watch rock climbers scale El Capitan's 3,000-foot (914-meter) sheer granite rock face. Enjoy incredible vistas from the Tunnel View overlook, and end your in-coach tour near the base of Yosemite Falls, the tallest waterfall in North America.
You will have three hours to explore Yosemite Valley at your leisure. Rent a bike and pick a trailhead for an epic cycle around the valley, or embark on foot on one of the many hiking loops. For less active folks, check out the visitor’s center, the Ansel Adams Gallery and the Ahwahnee Hotel for unique insights in the park’s history, legacy and beauty.
Re-group in the late afternoon for the journey back to San Francisco, stopping for a short break en route. Approaching the city in the evening, capture a stunning downtown skyline view from the Bay Bridge before arriving back at your hotel.

Excellent tour, excellent guide (Mitch). Long day but well worth the time. Mitch knew the perfect photo opts, stories, etc. It's always more fun when the guide loves his job like Mitch.
The tour was nice, plenty of breaks for bathroom and food. Photo opportunities were nice. My mistake was being unaware that the water falls dry up by September. That was disappointing but certainly not the fault of the company or guide.
We went on this trip with incredible adventures and incredible is definitely a word I would use to describe it. Jill our tour guide was super, giving us so much info en route to the park aswell as being able to answer all our questions (her playlist was also brilliant) It was my 2nd visit to yosemite and I loved it even more this time!!!
we had 4 hours to enjoy the park by ourselves. I would suggest not stopping twice to get food to spend that time at the park.
This was a long day, but worth it. The guide was great, went out of her way to accommodate people on the tour. The park was fabulous.
Three of us took this tour. First, this was NOT a tour. It was nothing more than transportation to Yosemite. I would NOT recommend this at all. We had barely three hours in Yosemite and then waited just over an hour for two people in our group to show up to leave while the rest of us waited on a hot bus. There was no information and we had to share maps of the park. Just unacceptable and was in no way a tour. We got duped off in Yosemite and did not see out "guide" until it was time to board the bus. Do not take this. I would rent a car and drive out if I were to suggest something.
On booking we were concerned about the length of this tour, but it had been scheduled through the day with plenty of rest stops. Our tour guide Lily was very knowledgeable and approachable. Highly recommended.
sorry but it was not like tour. It was like a transportation to go there. We passed many view points which other travel agency were stopped.
great trip and visit!! it is really worth the drive (8h). there is 3h of free time in the park which we really appreciated rather that group visits which are too slow. use it well Sequoias not possible / to note
This tour was amazing!
