The Casa alle Vacche winery is located near the famous San Gimignano, in the Chianti production area. The Ciappi family has been dedicated to the cultivation of the land for generations and has a long experience in the production of wine and olive oil. In the vineyards of Casa alle Vacche we harvest high quality grapes which, vinified with wisdom, allow us to obtain excellent wines such as DOCG Chianti Colli Senesi and Vernaccia di San Gimignano, IGT Toscana Rosso, Bianco and Rosato and Vin Santo del Chianti DOC. The company also produces organic vegetables and typical homemade products following the Tuscan tradition.

This was a tasty, fun and educational experience. We learned about the olive oil making process, how to taste it and what foods to pair it with. There is so much more to the olive than one might think. Our host were very informative and passionate about what they do. In Italy it's only extra virgin olive oil. We have a greater appreciation for olive oil and a better understanding of what to look for here in the U.S.
