About this activity
We will depart San Juan del Sur by 8:00 am to catch the first Ferry to Ometepe Island. Your guide will be waiting in Moyogalpa and head directly to Volcan Maderas. The local guide will provide everyone with specific instructions. We will provide fresh local fruits and snacks, make sure to pack plenty of water, some food and wear long pants and sturdy hiking boots. We will spend at least 30 minutes on the summit so you can enjoy the views, nature's beauty and the lagoon. Descending will take approximately 3 hours.
Upon arriving to the bottom the guide will take you to a local restaurant for traditional Nicaraguan dinner.
You will be lodging in Moyogalpa and take the next morning Ferry back to San Jorge and back to San Juan del Sur or your next destination.
