About this activity
This food walking tour of downtown Santa Barbara stops for tastings at six different shops and restaurants where guests will taste and experience the best dishes that make Santa Barbara the great dining destination that it is. At each stop, guests will participate in a fun tasting experience and learn about the food or drink there, as well as the interesting stories behind the business.
Tour tastings will vary, with some tours making stops at the Santa Barbara Public Market, and others stopping at wineries in El Paseo and shops at La Arcada. French pastries, Northern Italian dishes, gourmet cheese, local wine, handcrafted chocolates, gourmet cupcakes, handcrafted popsicles and East Coast deli fare are among the tasting options.
Throughout the day, guests will also become acquainted with Santa Barbara history, stopping at landmarks like the Arlington Theater, the Granada Theater, the Santa Barbara County Courthouse and the Presidio. This tour is a great introduction to Santa Barbara history, as well as the vibrant local food scene.
Vegetarians are welcome on this tour; please specify your dietary requirements at time of booking. There is a wine tasting on this tour, but well-behaved children and teens are welcome as well (water will be served instead of wine).
