Day 1: Santiago Discovery

In Plaza de Armas, find out about the history of Santiago and the importance of this place in the early stages of Chile. Visit the Santiago Cathedral and observe the various street artists - and paintings, as well as the historical buildings: Central Post Office – the Former Presidential Palace, and the National History Museum.

We continue next to Santiago Fish Market - Central Market, where we can see local vendors selling the fresh seafood from the Chilean Pacific

Our next visit takes us to the Metropolitan Park access (Pedro de Valdivia), where we hop on the cable car leading us to the San Cristobal hill summit, allowing us to see great views of the city and the Andes mountain range.

We drive back towards the city center until getting to Bellavista neighborhood; a cultural and bohemian part of the city.

Stop At: Casa Museo La Chascona, Fernando Maquez de la Plata 0192, Santiago Chile
We will see the house of our National Poet Pablo Neruda (from the outside) and hear about his interesting life

Stop At: Mercado Tirso de Molina, Av. Santa Maria 409 Recoleta, Santiago 8320000 Chile
We will cross the Mapocho River to see a local fruit and vegetable market: Tirso de Molina.

Day 2: Maipo Valley and El Yeso in the Andes

On this route we will cross the Maipo Valley offering us great views over the Andes foothills and the Maipo River as well as San Jose de Maipo Village

Stop At: Embalse El Yeso, San Jose de Maipo 9460000 Chile
In Embalse el Yeso, we will go on a small walk (2 km/ 1.3 miles approx.) bordering the lagoon to take in the landscape and obtain great photographs. Having a bit of luck we get to observe condors, eagles and wild foxes in their habitat. After the walk, enjoy a nice picnic in the outdoors overlooking the Andes

Next, we drive out to southern Santiago where we get to visit the Concha y Toro Winery. The visit includes a 1 hour guided wine tour with a local guide, 3 different tastings and a souvenir gift. After the tour, you will have the chance to visit the Concha y Toro wine shop and purchase their wines and products.
