This was such a great day, we were picked up from our hotel by Felipe and our driver was Sebastian. We were a small group which made for a very personal tour. Our first stop was for hot chocolate and home made cake in a very cosy cafe run by a very friendly lady. Felipe was such great company to be with and Sebastian a first glass driver. The views we had will stay with us for a very long time and to be in the Andes is just so special. After visiting the lagoon Sebastian drove a short while and we had an amazing picnic surrounded by the Andes, life doesn't get any better than this. Last stop was for lunch before we were taking back to our hotel. Thank you both for the memories, and for taking care of us. If visiting Santiago don't miss the change to go on this day tour you will not be disappointed, kind regards from Alan and Julia UK

I loved this tour! Our guide Felipe and our driver Sebastian were both awesome. The guide shared so much information, and was so knowledgeable about any topic we wanted to discuss. For those who don't hike, the hike is not demanding...it's maybe a 5 minute walk to the beach, maximum, with a slight decline and a few rocks. But we were the only group actually at the water! All other groups started way far back, and just saw the lake form afar. The spread Felipe and Sebastian prepared for us was awesome, and then we even had lunch afterward. Definitely bring a jacket, as the wind is extremely cold, even if the sun is warm.

Be prepared to spend 5 hours in a rickety van. It was most uncomfortable and the two of us sat in the back received quite a jolt and concussion...left us feeling sick as we hit the roof badly due to a road ramp. The tour was not very exciting except the mountains were spectacular. Don't bother!

Very well planned and led. We had 11 in the group and a nice, comfortable mix of ages and nationalities. First stop was for coffee/tea/hot chocolate on the way to the lake. A couple of photo stops at the lake entailed a bit of walking but nothing at all strenuous. But the lake is about 5000 feet higher than Santiago, so be prepared for it to be cooler there. Near the lake, we stopped for wine and snacks. The last stop was about 2 pm for empanadas baked in a wood-fired oven. More than just the beautiful scenery at the lake, the drive out there and back is very nice and, with the stops along the way, gives a view of small towns in the Chilean countryside.
