About this activity
Begin the tour with pickup from your hotel at approximately 10am. Board the climate-controlled van and begin your journey to the summer residence of the Concha y Toro family. Upon your arrival, walk through the gardens and the park, then view the exterior of the architecture. Afterward, make your way to the Garden of Varieties, a place that holds 26 strains of grapes, learning about the Concha y Toro wine along the way.
Next, visit the vineyard of Old Pirque, where you will obtain a panoramic view of the Maipo Valley. Snap photos of the valley as you overlook the area from the terrace. Next, head over to the cellar of the legendary wine, Casillero del Diablo, also known as the Devil's Locker. Listen as your guide tells you about the history of the iconic area. Enjoy three tastings of the wine before heading over to a room with a Sommelier to taste four other premium brands of wine. Delight in an accompaniment of cheeses before being returned to your accommodations.

Small group, stimulating conversation, fascinating tour, great guides. I'd recommend this to anyone!
I did not give 5 stars because we had 1 pretty big snafu. We traveled with 2 other couples. Though we had all paid the same amount and signed up with a few hours of each other, when we arrived we were told that only 2 of us would be allowed to go into the extra wine experience because there wasn't room for all 6 of us. We went through the first part talking about how unfair that was and feeling guilty because my husband and I were have to be separated from our friends. When the first part finished Mauricio informed us that he had gotten the winery to switch rooms to be able to accommodate all 6 of us. We were very please and happy that he saved the day but hate that we had to go through the angst of thinking we were going to be separated. Thank You Mauricio! Beautiful winery and would definitely recommend experience to others. We have been drinking Concha y Toro wines for years.
The tour was exactly as advertised. Thoroughly enjoyable. The downside was the 2 hour shuttle to get to the vineyard in a cramped shuttle van. The shuttle van driver took 1 hour and 15 minutes to navigate Santiago and pick up passengers in the various hotels and hostels. On the return trip the driver took 2 hours to drop off us (last) at the Hilton hotel.
This was a very well organized tour and would recommend the premium option as lovely wine pairing and cheeses. The sommelier was very good at describing what to look for in wines. Then you join the larger tour in your language for more wine tasting and tour of grounds as well as seeing Castellerio del Diablo. A nice lunch spot was recommended. However, our driver was very rude.
