Your guide picks up from your Santiago hotel at 9am. Start your tour jumping on the subway or taking a taxi to get to the popular neighborhood of La Chimba.

Stroll around aisles filled with fresh and colorful fruit, vegetables, and spices at La Vega Central market. Enjoy an included drink and snack here. After crossing to the southern side of the Mapocho river, go into the Central Market to see some of the extraordinary variety of shellfish that the long Chilean coast offers. The market is housed in a building that was actually made in Scotland in the late 19th Century.

A few blocks away, step into the beautiful Cathedral of Santiago located in the Central Square of the old city. Walk through the busy streets to the financial district, the presidential palace, and to the top of Santa Lucia Hill where Santiago was founded in 1541.

A few blocks away, step into the beautiful Cathedral of Santiago located in the Central Square of the old city. Walk through the busy streets to the financial district, the presidential palace, and to the top of Santa Lucia Hill where Santiago was founded in 1541.

Santiago's rising gastronomy scene of Santiago is a focus of the tour so stop for lunch (own expense) at a gourmet wine bar and restaurant where you’ll have plenty of opportunities to indulge in a few (or many) sips of Chile’s famous wines. Enjoy dessert at a traditional ice cream shop ranked in the top 25 in the world, only a block away.

Finish your tour in the bohemian Bellavista neighborhood, where you have the option to spend some leisure time shopping, take the funicular to the top of San Cristobal Hill, or choose one of the many restaurants on Constitution St. for dinner later.

Your tour concludes with a drop-off back at your hotel.
