I have taken a lot of tours with Grey Line the subcontractor. I have not been disappointed with that company until this trip. The Catalina Island tour they provided was a dangerous nightmare. This was slightly better. The guide was knowledgeable. The tour was only ok. I have no idea why we had to drive for a half an hour to see the Blue Mall. I suppose they are proud of the high end designers that sell in their city. We weren't able to get down to the Columbus Palace. We wasted time in a kitschy souvenir place. When we went to Los Tres Ojos, the Grey Line tour guide left us with a local hanging around the park, who flirted and joked to hustle a tip. It was a lousy end to a mediocre tour.
Enjoyed the tour very much. The guide/ driver is knowledgeable?
We were the only two people on the tour, so it was highly personalized. The caves were beautiful, learned a lot about the history of the city, and even the New City.
This was a great Tour. Our Guide JOSE and the driver were fantastic. They were entertaining with jokes etc but more importantly JOSE was very informative about the history (both colonial and continuing to the modern day). Definitely recommend this tour!
Our guide was very knowledgeable and personable while making the tour most enjoyable with anecdotal stories during our drive through the Santo Domingo area.
