Depart your morning cruise from the Vlichada Marine where you will sail through Red Beach and make a stop for swimming and/or snorkeling. Next, sail along White beach and spot the big rock called The Indian (or Mavro Vouno). Pass by the Light House (in Akrotiri) as you move towards the Volcano and swim at the Hot Springs. During your stop at the Volcano you can take in the healing hot waters, explore the volcanic beaches and areas of Palea and Nea Kameni which will amaze you because of their spectacular black, red and white colors. You will move to the other side of the volcano, here, you will anchor and enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch prepared and served by the crew. Meanwhile, you can swim in the Volcano’s crystal clear blue waters. Afterward, you will sail along the Aspronisi island and arrive at Mesa Pigadia beach for swimming, snorkeling or just sunbathing on the deck before making your return to Vlichada Marine.

Yanni gave us the best day of our holiday! There are a lot of great things to do on Santorini but without a doubt this was the best decision that we made. First of all the choice of activity. There can be few better ways to spend the day at the height of summer mid-August than out at sea, cruising around the dramatic geology and imposing islands of the caldera, stopping to plunge into the refreshing waters of the Med every few hours. Secondly, the choice of boat - a 49 foot sail boat, with plenty of room for the ten passengers and two crew and the opportunity to enjoy most of the five hour excursion under full sail. And most important of all, the simply wonderful captain and crew. Yanni and Thakis were the best weve ever had. Yanni is a great skipper: thoroughly capable, an experienced sailor with total command of his boat, a real character and just a little bit crazy, with a wonderful way of making everyone feel involved and a with a great sense of humour. And the chance to get to know two other lovely families who we will keep in touch with for long after we leave Santorini. Whats not to like?
